A N ation is a large aggregate of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory . In other words this means that a Nation is made up of a group of people who share similarities in where they live and the customs that they are brought up in but not fully independent ly working by itself. For example the African Nations lived together as a nation but were controlled by another country in terms of how they are run.
There are many similarities and differences between a Nation and a Country. One similarity is that a Nation and a Country are made up of people who share similarities in where they live and the customs they have. One difference is how they are run. A Country runs by it self with its own self controlled government while a nation does not necessarily. A Nation can be controlled by another country. For example African Nations before they gained their independence in the 60s.
There was a huge impact on the African Nations when they gained their independence. For the first time these nations could finally call themselves countries because they were now working with their own self controlled government and basically freed from the country that was controlling them before. They could now act as a country in which they can now make big decisions for themselves instead of someone else making the decisions for them that will only impact the African nation.
